I grew restless. I wanted to do something totally different. After 20+ years with ISI and approaching 50 years old, it felt time to do something radically different. I explored several possibilities, but, like Balaam who was blocked by his donkey, God stood in the way! And that's a very good thing because I've come to learn that God's only out for my very best. He doesn't want me preoccupied with anything less! During that time, a friend (Gael, from Togo, who's featured under "Stories") put up a post on Facebook that really spoke to me. I vowed I'd repost when the time was right. And it was right for me in early January 2014, when a final door I was exploring shut tight. Here's the post:
Over the last four months, God introduced me to a fabulous Christian Life Coach who had helped me sharpen my understanding of God's calling on my life and pushed me forward in my dreams. Susan really helped me grow a lot, and I cannot recommend her enough. (For info on her program, go HERE.) I have emerged from these four months with a sharper clarity and focus than I've felt for years, both with ISI and some other plans He has for me. And this, truly, is the grace of God at work. I am nothing without Him but I can be ALL He intends with Him steering the ship! Another, more recent post of Gael's also caught my attention, and I'll close with it.
